A child died after falling in hot date juice at Sonagazi in Feni

News Desk: A seven-month-old baby named Ashraful Alam has died after falling into hot date juice in Sonagazi of Feni. The baby died at Chittagong Medical College Hospital on Saturday night (January 24). Ashraful, a seven-month-old baby, fell into a hot pot from the lap of his grandfather Abul Hossain (65) while burning date juice on Saturday morning. As a result, 35 percent of his body including his head was burnt.

He was admitted to the burn unit of Chittagong Medical College Hospital in critical condition. The accident took place at Abul Hossain's house in Dakshin Char Darbesh area of ​​Char Darbesh Union of the upazila. According to family sources, Abul collected juice from various trees in Dakshin Char Darbesh area in the morning to make Patali molasses. After bringing the juice home, his wife was making molasses by heating the fire and pouring the juice in a big pot. At this time Abul said his son. Masud's seven-month-old son Ashraful was standing next to the stove talking.

Suddenly the baby fell from his lap into a container of hot juice. Immediately, to save Abul's grandson, he dipped his hands in hot juice and quickly lifted him to the ground. By that time the body of the grandson and the hands of the grandfather were burnt. Later, the people of the house rescued them and brought them to the Upazila Health Complex. There is an emergency department doctor.

Sadequl Karim said that 35 percent of the body including the head of the child Ashraful and 10 percent of the body including the two hands of Abul Hossain were burnt. The two of them were sent to the burn unit of Chittagong Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment with first aid.

The child's father said. Masud said, ‘The boy could not be saved anymore and died while undergoing treatment at Chittagong Medical College Hospital. The body is being prepared to be brought to Sonagazi. But my father is better than before. ’
