Annual sports competitions and prize distribution for children with disabilities were held in Naogaon

Naogaon Correspondent: Sports competitions and prize distribution programs have been held in Naogaon with the participation of autistic and disabled children under the theme "Healthy Body, Beautiful Mind". The event was held at the Ashar Alo Autistic and Intellectually Handicapped School premises in the city on Wednesday. The competition was organized by the District Sports Officer and in collaboration with Ashar Alo Autistic and Intellectually Handicapped Schools as part of the annual sports competition 2020-2021.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Shihab Raihan, Deputy Director of District Social Services Department Nur Mohammad, Naogaon Sadar Disability Affairs Officer SM Humayun Kabir, Head of Ashar Alo Autistic and Intellectually Handicapped School were present as the chief guests at the function presided over by District Sports Officer Abu Jafar Mahmuduzzaman.

Speakers at the event said the present government is a disability-friendly government. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken and is implementing various steps for the advancement of children with disabilities. These children are not a burden to society, they are also an important part of society. If you give them affection and love, they too will become an asset. Therefore, if these children with special needs of the society are neglected and given unconditional love, they too can become an invaluable asset for our country.
