Finally, rain with thundershowers forecast across the country: Meteorological Department

News Desk:  The Meteorological Department has given the good news that the heatwave that has been going on for a month has reduced a little. Along with this, the organization has predicted an increase in the trend of rain with thunder across the country.

This information was given in the latest forecast given by the Department of Meteorology on Wednesday (May 1) morning. The weather forecast for the next 24 hours from 9 am has said that there may be temporary rain or thunder with gusty winds in two places of Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and also somewhere. Scattered hail may occur at some places. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky.

The heat wave forecast has said- very intense heat wave over Jessore, Kushtia, Chuadanga, Pabna, Rajshahi, Bagerhat and Satkhira districts and intense heat wave over the remainder of Tangail, Faridpur, Gopalganj, Narayanganj, Naogaon, Sirajganj, Dinajpur and Khulna divisions. Elsewhere in the country, mild to moderate heat waves are prevailing and may continue.

Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country. Excess water vapor may cause discomfort.

From 9 am on Thursday (May 2) in the next 24 hours, some places of Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and two or more places of Dhaka, Mymensingh and Barisal divisions may experience rain with gusty winds or rain with thunder. Along with this, there may be scattered hailstorms at some places. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky.

Day temperature may drop by (1-2) degrees Celsius in eastern parts of the country while elsewhere it may remain almost unchanged. Night temperature may drop by (1-2) degrees Celsius across the country.

Meanwhile, the forecast for Friday (May 3) has informed that in some places of Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and in two places of Barisal division, there may be temporary rain or thunder with gusty wind and also there may be scattered hailstorm at some places. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky.

According to the heat wave forecast, the intensity of the prevailing heat wave may decrease and moderate in some parts of the country. Day temperature may drop by (1-2) degrees Celsius across the country. The night temperature may remain almost unchanged.

According to the extended five-day forecast, rain or thundershowers may prevail over the country during this period.
