News Desk:  Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken the medical expenses of children Nuha and Nuba who have spinal fusion. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Sharfuddir Ahmed. He informed this information on Thursday morning. 

For the first time in the country, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) has prepared to separate two children who underwent spinal cord fusion. A meeting of the medical board has been held at BSMMU on Thursday at 10 am. 

This very complex and sensitive surgery is led by the professor of the neurosurgery department of the university and the dean of the surgery faculty. Mohammad Hossain He will be assisted by a few other doctors.

 

BSMMU is going to complete the first spinal fusion surgery of a child in Bangladesh. Earlier in this hospital, abdominal surgery of the baby has been done.

It is known that the father of the twin children is Alamgir Rana of Kanthalbari in Kurigram. He is a transport worker by profession. About seven and a half months ago, Rana's wife Nasreen gave birth to twin girls. Both children's spines are fused at birth.
In medical terms it is called conjoint twin. 

Their age is seven months and 13 days. The twins are currently undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital.
