Child sexually abused in Laxmipur, two teachers arrested

News Desk: Police have arrested the principal of Attamarin International Hifzul Quran Madrasa in Chandraganj, Laxmipur on charges of sexually abusing a child student. The victim's mother filed a case with the Chandraganj Police Station on Monday night (March 1) accusing the two.

The arrested are- Hafez Mohammad, a teacher of the Hefz department of the madrasa. Masum Billah (24). He said the house of Manoharganj police station in Comilla district, Uttar Fenua village of Uttar Hawla UP. Maulana Abdur Rashid Mohammad Yusuf (45), son of Harunur Rashid and principal of the madrasa. He is the son of late Qari Sirajul Haque of Dakshin Chakdosh Qari Saheb Huzur of Chakdosh village in Kachia UP of Borhanuddin police station of Bhola district.

According to the sources, Hafez Mohammad, a teacher of the Hefz department, called a child student (10) of Attemarin International Hifzul Quran Madrasa near Afzal Road in Chandraganj West Bazar to the dining room at night. Masum Billah often sexually abused her and threatened to kill her if she told anyone about this. When the madrasa recently announced a 1-week holiday, the child went home like any other child.

Although the madrasa was later opened, the child refused to come to the madrasa. When his mother wanted to know why he would not go to the madrasa, the child openly told about the sexual abuse by the teacher.

On Friday afternoon, February 26, the child's mother and relatives came to the madrasa and requested the principal Maulana Abdur Rashid Mohammad Yusuf to investigate the matter. But the principal of the madrasa did not investigate the incident and beat up the child the next day. On Monday, the child's mother and others came to the madrasa and found the injured child, and informed the police.

After Chandraganj police SI said. Kamal Uddin went to the scene with the accompanying force and found the truth of the allegation of the accused teacher Hafez. Masum Billah and the principal of the madrasa, Maulana Abdur Rashid, arrested Mohammad Yusuf.

Meanwhile, after hearing the incident, many parents came to the madrasa at night and pressured them to take their children from the madrasa as well.

In this regard, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chandraganj Police Station AKM Fazlul Haque said that after learning about the matter, the police sent two teachers to the spot and arrested them and a case has been registered against the two accused teachers. They were sent to court on Tuesday afternoon.
