Child abduction, arrest 1 in Ashulia showing the temptation of Jhalamuri

News Desk: Rakib Sardar (24), an ironman of a garment factory in Ashulia, abducted a child named Asnan Adip (4) after showing the temptation to feed him jhalmuri. Later, Rakib demanded a ransom of Tk 10 lakh from the child's family. He also threatened to kill the victim if he did not get the ransom.

When the victim's family lodged a complaint with the law enforcement agencies, a team of RAB-4 rescued the child on Tuesday (March 23) by conducting a raid in Baghutia, a remote char area of ​​Daulatpur police station in Manikganj district. He said, based on specific allegations on Monday, it was learned that on Sunday (March 21) at around 6:30 pm, a 4-year-old child from Durgapur Purbachala area of ​​Ashulia in Dhaka district Md. Rakib abducted Asnan Adip. He later demanded a ransom of Tk 10 lakh from the child's parents. He also threatened to kill the abducted child. Based on the allegations of the child's parents, we rescued the victim on Tuesday (March 23) by conducting a raid in Baghutia, a remote char area of ​​Daulatpur police station in the Manikganj district. Rakib was also arrested at the time.

"The accused Rakib told us during interrogation that he was working as an ironman in a garment factory in Ashulia," he said. The victim's father was a tenant of the tin-shed house for 5 months. A month before the abduction, Rakib left the victim's father's tin-shed home.

But Rakib was keeping an eye on the victim while he was at home. He plans to kidnap the Victim while he is here for rent. According to the plan, Rakib took the victim to the Jirabo area by rickshaw from the gate of his house on the afternoon of the incident. Later, he took a bus to Nabinagar, Jafarganj in Shibalaya police station of Manikganj district and a CNG-powered autorickshaw.

From there, the accused crossed the Jamuna River in a trawler and detained the child at Rakib's own house in the remote Char Baghutia village of Daulatpur police station.
