News Desk: In Sakhipur of Tangail, a two-and-a-half-month-old baby was stolen after breaking into his house in the middle of the night. The incident took place in Shola Pratima area of the Upazila around 3 pm on Wednesday (March 31).
It is learned that truck driver Ashar Uddin of Shola Pratima village of the Upazila was not at home on the night of the incident. His wife Kalpana Akhter slept in her room with her two children. The miscreants broke into the house at around 3 pm. At that time Kalpana Akhter saw them and started shouting. The miscreants tied her face with a towel and fled with her two-and-a-half-month-old baby.
Kalpana Akhter said her husband was not at home at night. She was sleeping at home with her two children. At that time, the miscreants entered the house by cutting the wall. They tied their faces with towels and fled with the baby.
Sakhipur Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) AK Saidul Haque Bhuiyan said police had visited the spot. However, no one has complained about this yet. Police have started work to rescue the child and arrest the accused.
