Victim of rape of 8-year-old child in Muktagachha, arrested 1

Mymensingh Correspondent: A 6-year-old girl has been raped twice. The child was raped. Muktagachha police arrested a youth named Tarif Hossain (20) in the incident.

The incident took place in Charipara village of Muktagachha. According to the police, Tarif Hossain, 7, daughter of Farhad Hossain of Charipara village in Ghoga union of Muktagachha upazila of Mymensingh, called her to the side of the fish farm and raped her. Later on Thursday, the child was called to the forest next to the house and raped. On that day, the child informed his mother about the matter. Later, when the matter came to light, he tried to settle the matter through the village arbitrator.

When the settlement failed, Sabina Yasmin (Brishti), a woman leader from the same area, informed the police. Muktagachha police arrested Tarif Hossain on Sunday. Admitting the truth of the incident, Muktagachha Police Station OC Biplob Kumar Biswas said that the child was raped by seducing or showing various temptations. A youth named Tarif Hossain involved in the incident has been arrested. A rape case has been filed against him at Muktagachha police station.
