News Desk : The number of children infected with measles is increasing at an alarming rate across the country. 11 more people died of measles and measles symptoms in the last 24 hours.
This information was informed in a press release sent from the control room of the Health Department on Saturday.
According to the information of the Department of Health, the total number of suspected patients from March 15 to April 25 at 8 am is 30,607. Of these, 4,460 people have been confirmed to have measles. So far 20 thousand 475 suspected and confirmed patients have been admitted to the hospital. And 17 thousand 81 people returned home after treatment. Since the start of the outbreak, 42 people have died from measles. And 209 people died with measles symptoms.
In the notification, it is said that 1 thousand 58 new suspected malaria cases have been detected in the last 24 hours across the country. A large part of the victims are children. Doctors and health workers are struggling to provide medical services as the pressure of patients is continuously increasing in the hospitals.
