News Desk: Five more children have died with measles (ham) symptoms in the last 24 hours. During the same period, 1,229 new suspected cases have been reported, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) daily bulletin issued on Wednesday (April 22).
The report states that from March 15 to April 22, a total of 27,164 suspected measles cases have been recorded. Among them, 3,934 cases were confirmed measles infections.
It further says that 17,998 suspected patients were admitted to hospitals during this period, while 14,892 patients recovered and were discharged.
In the last 24 hours, no deaths were reported from confirmed measles cases. However, from March 15 to April 22, a total of 38 deaths occurred among confirmed cases.
Additionally, 5 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours among suspected cases. Overall, 190 suspected measles-related deaths have been recorded during the March 15–April 22 period.
