News Desk: In the past 24 hours, 14 people were hospitalized with dengue in Bangladesh, but no deaths were reported during this period.
This information was released on Monday in a dengue-related press statement by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services.
The statement detailed the distribution of the newly admitted patients:
Barishal Division (outside city corporations): 2 patients
Dhaka Division (outside city corporations): 4 patients
Dhaka North City Corporation: 2 patients
Dhaka South City Corporation: 1 patient
Khulna Division (outside city corporations): 2 patients
Mymensingh Division (outside city corporations): 2 patients
Sylhet Division (outside city corporations): 1 patient
During this period, 9 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of discharged patients this year to 1,601.
So far this year, 1,668 people have been infected with dengue, of whom 62.7% are male and 37.3% are female. There have been 4 deaths from dengue so far this year.
For comparison, between January 1 and December 31, 2025, a total of 102,861 dengue cases were reported, with 413 deaths. In 2024, 101,214 people were infected with dengue, resulting in 575 deaths.
