News Desk: In the past 24 hours, 308 people have been admitted to hospitals due to dengue infection. However, no deaths from this mosquito-borne disease were reported during this period.
The Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) shared this information in a press release on Friday, October 10.
According to the release, from 8:00 a.m. Thursday to 8:00 a.m. Friday, 87 patients were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka city, 115 in the Barishal division (outside city corporations), 85 in the Chattogram division, and 21 in the Mymensingh division.
DGHS data indicate that, so far this year, dengue has claimed 224 lives, including 117 men and 107 women. During the same period, 53,193 people were hospitalized due to dengue infection.
