News Desk: In the past 24 hours, 263 people have been hospitalized with dengue, though no new deaths from the mosquito-borne disease were reported during this period.
The information was confirmed in a press release issued on Friday (October 3) by the Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
According to the report, between Thursday 8:00 AM and Friday 8:00 AM, 91 patients were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka city, 64 in Chattogram division (outside the city corporation areas), 56 in Barishal division, and 18 in Mymensingh division.
So far this year, dengue has claimed 202 lives — 105 men and 97 women. In addition, a total of 48,491 patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country since the beginning of the year.
