News Desk: Between Wednesday 8:00 a.m. and Thursday 8:00 a.m., one dengue patient died, while 664 others were admitted to hospitals with dengue fever.
The Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the information in a report issued on Tuesday, September 23.
According to the report, within the past 24 hours, hospital admissions due to dengue included 208 patients in Dhaka city hospitals, 136 in Barishal division, 117 in Dhaka division (outside the capital), 76 in Chattogram division, 57 in Rajshahi division, 47 in Rangpur division, 17 in Mymensingh division, and 6 in Sylhet division.
Earlier, on Sunday, 12 dengue-related deaths were reported within a single day, marking the highest daily toll of the year.
So far in 2025, a total of 182 people have died from dengue, including 93 men and 89 women. In addition, 43,173 patients have been hospitalized with dengue fever since the beginning of the year.
