In the last 24 hours, 248 people have been hospitalized with dengue, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). No new deaths were reported during this period. The information was released on Friday (September 19) in a press statement from the Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room.
The bulletin stated that between Thursday 8:00 a.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m., 87 patients were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka city, 53 in Chattogram division (outside the city corporation), 52 in Dhaka division, 43 in Barishal division, and 13 in Mymensingh division.
So far this year, 167 people have died from dengue—86 men and 81 women. In total, 40,709 patients have been hospitalized with dengue across the country since the beginning of the year.
