Frozen body of newborn found in hospital toilet!

Narayanganj Correspondent: Sonargaon Police have recovered the body of an unidentified newborn from the toilet of the emergency department of Sonargaon Upazila Health Complex in Narayanganj.

The body was recovered from the toilet pipe of the Upazila Health Complex on Saturday (March 22) afternoon.

In this regard, Upazila Health Complex Health Officer Dr. Sharmin Akter Tithi said, "In the morning, after receiving news that the toilet of patients in the hospital's emergency department was blocked, our staff went to repair the pipe of another toilet under construction nearby and found the body of a newborn inside the pipe. We are still not sure whether it was thrown from inside the hospital or by someone outside. As soon as we saw the body, we informed the police station, who came and recovered the body."

Sub-inspector Naimul Islam of Sonargaon Police Station said, "The authorities informed us that the body of an unidentified newborn was found inside the toilet pipe of the hospital. We went to the spot and recovered the body from inside the pipe and sent it for autopsy. However, the details are not yet known. An investigation into the matter is underway. Legal action is under process."
