News Desk: A RAB member was killed in a truck accident while trying to seize cannabis in Mymensingh's Bhaluka upazila. The accident took place on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway on Sunday morning.

The deceased was identified as Idris Mollah, son of Iman Mollah of Kellai village in Manikganj. His police member A / 506. He was transferred to RAB two years ago. The matter has been confirmed by RAB 1 director Lieutenant Colonel Ashiq Billah. It is learned that a consignment of Mauna cannabis is going from Tongi. At that time, the driver tried to flee quickly when he signaled to stop the truck carrying marijuana (Dhaka Metro-D-14-3561).

Constable Idris Mollah and senior DAD Golam Mostafa chased the truck (Dhaka-Metro-L-45-1138) to stop the truck. After reaching Bagerbazar area of ​​Gazipur, a sack full of cannabis was thrown from behind. At that time, senior DAD got down from the motorcycle to rescue the sack of cannabis. At that time, police constable Idris Ali was chasing the truck. When the truck reached in front of the Coca-Cola Company in Bhaluka Seedstore area, RAB members barricaded it with motorcycles.

Idris Ali Mollah fell on the road and was killed on the spot when the truck driver hit the motorcycle. Varadoba Highway Outpost Police IC Taimur Ali said the truck carrying the cannabis reached in front of the Coca-Cola Company in Bhaluka Seedstore area when a RAB member barricaded it with a motorcycle and the truck driver pushed the motorcycle. Idris Ali Mollah fell and was killed on the spot. The body of the deceased has been sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. The deadly truck has been seized. However, the truck driver escaped. The motorcycle involved in the accident has been recovered.
