A friend was stabbed to death by a friend in Feni

Feni Correspondent:A man stabbed his friend to death during Iftar at Sonagazi in Feni. The incident took place at a tea shop in the Matiganj bus stand area of ​​the upazila on Sunday (March 24) evening. The deceased Abir Hossain son of Kala Mia of Vadadia area of ​​Matiganj Union of Chhotan Upazila. And the accused Arifur Rahman is a resident of the same area. Sonagazi Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sudeep Roy confirmed this information.

He said about the locals, Arif's elder brother Md. Matiganj bus stand area of ​​Sonagazi-Feni road. Niloy has a tea shop. In the afternoon, two friends Abir and Arif went to that shop to eat Iftar together. While preparing iftar, Abir had an argument with his friend about the previous incident. At one point, Arif got angry and hit Abir in the stomach and chest with the knife in his hand. Abir immediately fell to the ground. After that, Arif ran away. He was rescued in critical condition and taken to Feni General Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

OC Sudeep Roy said, 'Locals told the police that Abir and Arif were close friends. The two used to walk together. Even the two sometimes used to do various criminal activities including drug dealing. Accused Arif is absconding since the incident. The police are trying to unravel the main mystery of the incident and arrest the accused Arif.

He further said that the body of the deceased has been kept in the morgue of Feni General Hospital. The body will be handed over to the family members on Monday after post-mortem. If the family gives a statement, it will be taken as a case.

However, no one from the victim's family could be immediately contacted in this incident.
