12 ETC toll collection booths open to keep Meghna toll plaza free of traffic jam

Narayanganj Correspondent: Six new Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) toll collection booths have been launched on a trial basis at Meghna Setu toll plaza of Sonargaon, Narayanganj on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway to keep highway traffic free ahead of Eid. In the afternoon, Road Transport and Highways Department Secretary ABM Amin Ullah Noori inspected the ETC booth of 2 in the newly constructed toll plaza. Syed Moinul Hasan, Chief Engineer of Roads and Public Ways Department, Chief Executive Officer of Narayanganj Roads and Township Department Prakosli Shahanara Ferdous and other officials were present.

After the inspection, the secretary said that 6 new electronic toll collection (ETC) toll collection booths have been opened on an experimental basis at Meghna Setu 2nd toll plaza to keep the highway free of traffic jams ahead of Eid. All the toll collection (ETC) is covered on this bridge. All transport owners and drivers are requested to provide toll collection through (ETC) mode. This will save time and the road will be free of traffic jams.
