Outbreak of hoof disease in Nandigram

Nandigram (Bogra) Correspondent: There has been a sudden outbreak of hoof disease in Bogra's Nandigram. Hundreds of cows of farms and farmers of different villages of the upazila are being affected by this disease.

The farmers are terrified. There have also been reports of cows dying of rabies in different villages. Akbar Ali, a farmer of Ridhail village of the upazila, said that almost all the cattle and calves in our village have been infected with this disease. 1 of my 4 cows died. Gradually the disease is spreading at a massive rate. Farmer Shahidul Islam, who came to the Upazila Animal Resources Office for treatment, said his farm has 12 cows including bulls and cows. In the last few days, 6 of his cows have been infected with this disease. Although he recovered a bit after the treatment, 1 cow was infected again yesterday and he was treated Ongoing.

Naresh Chandra, a farmer from Pantagari village, said, “I have 6 cows in my house. A total of 3 cows including 2 cows and 1 calf have been affected by the disease. The cows have stopped eating. I don't understand what to do. Dr. Arunanshu Mandal, Upazila Animal Resources Officer, said that the viral disease has started due to the weather. Some cattle have contracted razor disease in different areas of the upazila. Infected animals are being treated. Healthy cows are also being vaccinated against the disease.
