Tomtom driver dies after being trampled by wild elephants in Satkania

Ramzan Ali Satkania Correspondent (Chittagong): A battery-powered (tomtom) driver was killed after being trampled by a wild elephant in Chittagong's Satkania. His name is Nesar Ahmed (55). Nityalal Jbaldash (56) was injured at the time. The incident took place at around 8.30 pm on Sunday, December 8 in the shop area of ​​Paschim Bajalia Nasir in the upazila.

Bajalia UP member Anwar Hossain said a group of 8/10 wild elephants crossed the Shankhan River via Lalutia-Diakul in Chandnaish and attacked the locality of West Bajalia in Satkania around 8pm on the day of the incident.

Meanwhile, the son of the deceased Bacha Mia of Chanderpara in Dharmapur Union was returning home on a rickshaw charge at Mubarak's house in the shop area of ​​battery-powered (tomtom) driver Nesar Ahmed Nasir.

At that time, when he fell in front of the wild elephant, an elephant first hit him with a trunk and then crushed him with its feet. After the elephants left, they rescued him and took him to a private hospital in Keranihat, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead. On the other hand, shortly after the incident, a group of wild elephants attacked Jaldashpara in Ishwar Babu Hat area of ​​Dharmapur.

Nityalal Jaldash, 58, son of Nibaran Jaldash of Jaldashpara was seriously injured in the attack. When the elephant left the spot, he was rescued and taken to a private hospital in Keranihat.
