College student rescues 50,000 lost in bkash fraud

News Desk: A college student lost 50,000 in Rajshahi after falling into the clutches of a development fraudster. He approached the police in this incident. Later, on the advice of the police, he rescued the money by trapping the cheater in love.

The cheater went to Rajshahi from Faridpur to meet his girlfriend on Sunday afternoon. Later, Rajshahi Metropolitan DB Police arrested him along with an accomplice.

The arrested are Hasan Khan, son of Abdul Khan of Jangalpasha Madhyapara in Bhanga upazila of Faridpur and Mahmud Hasan alias Bayezid, son of Nur Mohammad Sheikh of Jangalpasha Purbapara.

According to the information obtained during the interrogation, the police say that they are professional fraudsters. They tactfully grabbed the development PIN number by calling on the mobile. Then he removed the bKash money from that bKash account with a six digit PIN.

Metropolitan DB Police DC Abu Ahmed Al Mamun confirmed the information on Monday afternoon.

He said, Rajshahi New Govt. On November 16, a call came from an unknown number on the mobile of the 12th class student of the degree college. That person was development fraudster Hasan. However, he introduced himself as the college teacher of that student. He says the government is giving scholarships to students through development in Corona. But the number to which the scholarship will be sent to the bKash account must be at least 50 thousand. Then the government will send money to this number.

Unable to anticipate the fraud, the student talked to his parents and cashed in 50,000 rupees in the account. And he already had some money in his account. After inserting the money, the fraudster Hasan tactfully found out his PIN number. He then withdrew Tk 51,000 from the student's bKash account. After realizing that she had been cheated, the student sought the help of DB police.

He added that after hearing everything, the victim was advised to act out of love by talking to the cheater from an unknown number. The cheater fell in love with her after a few days of talking. The student continued to play love game with him for 12 days. At one point, the victim called to meet the cheater.

On Sunday, bKash fraudster Hasan came from Faridpur to Laxmipur corner of Rajshahi city with an associate. DB police caught them at that time. During the detention,  6,000 was found from the two.

DC Mamun said the victim's father had filed a case under the Digital Security Act against the two arrested development fraudsters. They have been sent to jail through the court in that case.
