Workshop on protection of forest resources at Lalmonirhat

Lalmonirhat Correspondence: A workshop on introduction of technology developed by Bangladesh Forest Research Institute was held at Lalmonirhat District Commissioner's Conference Room on Thursday. The workshop organized by Bangladesh Forest Research Institute Chittagong was presided over by Mohammad Anisur Rahman, Chittagong Divisional Officer of Wood Conservation Department.

Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ullah was the chief guest in the workshop. Deputy Director of Lalmonirhat Agriculture Extension Department Dr. Mo. Saikhul Arifin was the special guest. Forest resources and forest management technologies were presented in the workshop. Officials of various departments, wood traders, journalists were present in the workshop in collaboration with the district administration. , NGO representatives, nursery owners and civil society citizens participated. In this workshop, the use of modern technology in forest resource utilization was discussed. As a result of the use of this technology, forest resources will be saved and mankind will be saved from the adverse effects of climate change.
