Md. Noor Alam Gopalpur (Tangail): The body of a third class student named Mitu (8) was found in the river a day after he went missing in Gopalpur, Tangail. His body was found floating in the Jhenai river under the Jhawail Bailey Bridge on Thursday morning by police. Mitu is the daughter of Nayan Dutta of Darisaya village of Mitu Upazila and a third class student of Pathalia Government Primary School. It is known that Mitu went missing while bathing in the river on Wednesday afternoon. Locals informed the divers after much searching. A team of divers recovered his body from the river on Thursday morning. Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Mosharraf Hossain confirmed the truth of the incident and said that the body was handed over to the relatives without a post-mortem investigation as no one in the family had any complaints.
