Ramzan Ali, Satkania (Chittagong): A Hanif Paribahan bus bound for Cox's Bazar lost control and fell under the bridge at a place called Noyakhale on the north side of Keranihat upazila in Satkania on the Chittagong-Cox's Bazar highway. At least 14 passengers of the bus were injured. After receiving information about the accident, the firemen of Satkania Fire Service went to the spot and rescued the injured and sent them to the hospital. The accident took place in Satkania Nayakhal area at 12:30 pm on Monday (August 15). Satkania Fire Service Senior Station Officer SM Humayun Karnayen confirmed the matter. The injured in the accident are Al Amin (21), Halima Begum (16), Sharmin Akhtar (25), Ekram (32), Muhammad Nasir Uddin (27), Muhammad Abdullah (12), Muhammad Sarwar Kamal (35), Abul Hashem ( 45), Jasmine Akhtar (35), Muhammad Zayed (5), Farida Akhtar (17), Mahmuda Khatun (60) and Hasan Noor (18). Senior Station Officer of Satkania Fire Service SM Humayun Karnayen said, "We rushed to the spot after receiving the information and rescued 14 injured people from inside the car and sent them to the local hospital. At this time, when the traffic stopped on both sides of the road, a long traffic jam was created. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Dohazari Highway Police Masudur Rahman said, after receiving the news of the accident, we quickly reached the spot and rescued the injured and normalized the traffic.
