Upon receiving the information, the Upazila Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate arrived at the scene and ordered the bride's father Milan Hossain to pay a fine of Tk 6,000 as per section 8 of the Prevention of Child Marriage Act 2017 for organizing the marriage despite the bride not being of marriageable age. On the other hand, a surety has been taken from the father of the daughter that the marriage will not be given until the bride reaches the age of 18. Upazila Women's Affairs Officer Hasnat Jahan, Bhangura Thana Police and journalists were present. Upazila Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate Mohammad Nahid Hasan Khan confirmed the truth of the incident and said that this type of campaign to implement the government's law to prevent child marriage will continue in the future.
