Shahjahan Biswas, Manikganj: An international standard drug addiction rehabilitation center will be built in Manikganj under the initiative of Bangladesh Police Welfare Trust. 2.10 acres of land has already been acquired for the construction of a 600-bed rehabilitation center. Dhaka Police Headquarters DIG (Finance) said that after buying 4-5 more acres of land at Mauza price, the work of full-fledged rehabilitation center will begin. Mahbubur Rahman Bhuiyan BPM (bar). He said these things in the discussion meeting regarding site inspection and land purchase for the proposed drug addict rehabilitation project in Baghia Elka of Khanaria Union of Manikganj Sadar Upazila on Wednesday (July 20) afternoon. Mahbubur Rahman Bhuiyan said that the construction of a 600-bed drug treatment center will begin within the next one year after the necessary space is arranged. Through this healing center we will be able to provide international quality services. It has been reported that Bangladesh Police Welfare Trust has already purchased 124 acres of land and another 84 acres of land has been donated by a person named Jalil Mia. Additional DIG Md Alamgir Kabir (Welfare Trust Project) spoke as a special guest under the chairmanship of Manikganj Superintendent of Police Md Golam Azad Khan, under the chairmanship of Additional Superintendent of Police Md Hafizur Rahman. Among others, President of Manikganj Press Club Golam Charwar Chanu, former chairman of Khanaria Union Abdul Quader, land owner Jalil Mia spoke. After the discussion, the chief guest visited the site identified for the proposed drug addiction treatment center. At that time, local politicians and journalists were present along with senior officials of Manikganj District Police.
