Almost all the rivers in Tangail have started receding

Rashed Khan, Tangail: The water of almost all the rivers in Tangail is now below the danger level. For about a week now, all the rivers, including the Jamuna in Tangail, have started receding. As a result, water of tributaries including Jamuna is flowing below the danger level. According to Water Development Board sources, in the last 24 hours from 8 am yesterday to 8 am on Sunday, the water level of the Jamuna River has been flowing at Porabari Point by 30 cm and 16 cm below the danger level. On the other hand, the water of Jhenai river is flowing at Jokarchar point with a decrease of 28 cm below the danger level and the water of Dhaleshwari river is flowing with a decrease of 29 cm at Elasin point with a depth of 18 cm below the danger level. Earlier, the water level of Jamuna River was flowing at Porabari Point by 30 cm at 8 cm above the danger level in 24 hours from 6 am on Friday to 8 am on Saturday. Besides, the water level of Jhenai river decreased by 29 cm at Jokarchar point and decreased by 16 cm and the water level of Dhaleshwari river decreased by 16 cm at Elasin point and flowed at 14 cm above the danger level.
