News Desk: Child theft has happened again in Sirajganj. A two-and-a-half-month-old girl (two and a half months) was stolen from Kadampal village in Bahuli Union of Sirajganj Sadar Upazila on Sunday (March 14) morning.

Police rescued the child after setting up a check post at Bhadraghat Bazar area of ​​Kamarkhand Upazila of the district around 1:15 pm, six hours after the theft.

The stolen child is the daughter of Sultan-Nargis couple of Kadampal village of Bahuli Union. Bahuli Union Chairman. Ruhul Amin Sarkar confirmed the theft, saying the child was lost after the Fajr prayers. A UP member has been sent to the spot. Sadar Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Dayal Banerjee said the missing child was only two and a half months old. The child's mother and aunt have been called in for questioning as the matter is suspicious.

Sadar Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Bahauddin Farooqui said the check post was set up as soon as the child was reported missing. Following this, a motorcycle was stopped in the Bhadraghat area and the child was rescued from there.

The baby was found by his uncles and aunts. At this time they were detained. Sirajganj Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) said. Snigdha Akhter confirmed the theft and rescue of the child, adding that the child has been rescued and details will be revealed later.
