Slander of secret relationship with aunty uncle, nephew's suicide

News Desk: A young man named Sadiqur Rahman Annan (22) has committed suicide as he could not bear the false accusation that he has a secret relationship with Mami. The incident took place at Bhati Tahirpur village in Sunamganj's Tahirpur Upazila on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Sadiqur Rahman Anan, son of Abdul Ahad of the village. He committed suicide by hanging himself in his house yesterday.

It is learned that Sadiqur Rahman Annan used to teach privately to his two cousins. Annan's own uncle accused his nephew of having a secret affair with his wife because of the daily commute. Annan could not bear the slander of Mama Shahanshah.

He later committed suicide by hanging himself by tying a rope around the wall of his house yesterday afternoon. Later, his relatives saw him hanging and took him to Tahirpur Upazila Health Complex. The doctor on duty declared him dead. Officer-in-charge of Tahirpur police station (OC) said. Abdul Latif Tarafdar confirmed the incident. He said legal action would be taken after the autopsy.
