In the northern region, the minimum temperature was recorded at Tetulia at 6.3 degrees Celsius, Dinajpur at 9 degrees Celsius, Rangpur at 10.5 degrees Celsius, Syedpur at 9.6 degrees Celsius and Rajarhat in Kurigram at 6.8 degrees Celsius. Ordinary people demand Rangpur and other places in the northern region due to dense fog and cold. Disaster is increasing in this region due to increase in air humidity. Rangpur District Civil Surgeon Dr. Hiramba Kumar Roy said that the number of patients suffering from cold is increasing in Rangpur Medical College Hospital due to severe cold. More children and people of different ages are suffering in this cold. People in rural areas are burning fires to escape the cold. Twenty-three patients have been admitted to the burn unit of Rangpur Medical College Hospital after being burnt. Six women died while undergoing treatment for burns in December and January.
