International blockchain Olympiad started for the first time in the country

News Desk: The International Blockchain Olympiad has started for the first time in Bangladesh. The Olympiad was inaugurated on Friday (October 8) at the BCC Auditorium at the ICT Tower in Agargaon. The much-anticipated Olympiad, which started in Hong Kong, is being held in Bangladesh for the first time outside Hong Kong.

Planning Minister MA Mannan was present as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony. State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak was present as the special guest. Speaking as the chief guest, Planning Minister MA Mannan told the younger generation that it was not possible to fight with history or the past. But if you want, you can create your own future. And this issue is in the hands of the youth. You have to build your future not only by dreaming, but also through hard work. Speaking as the special guest, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak said, "We are proud and really happy to host such an international competition in Bangladesh." The 12 winning teams of 'Blockchain Olympiad Bangladesh 2021' in Bangladesh are participating in the international stage of this event, which is a matter of pride for us. I believe that more university students will take part in the 2022 International Blockchain Olympiad.

The Olympiad is being jointly organized by the Department of Information and Communication Technology of the Government of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Computer Council, Blockchain Olympiad Bangladesh and Technohaven Company Limited. More than 50 teams from 12 countries - China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Philippines, UAE, Iran, Indonesia, Netherlands, Nepal, Mongolia, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are participating in this global competition.
