News Desk: An unidentified woman (40) was killed when a private car hit her in front of a railway employee's government hospital under Shahbagh police station in the capital. The accident happened on Wednesday (December 23) morning.

DMEC hospital police camp in-charge (inspector) said. Bachchu Mia confirmed the matter, saying, "In the morning, a government employee was crossing the road in front of the hospital when a private car pushed the woman and fled." Pedestrians rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition.

He later died while undergoing treatment. He added, "The body has been kept at Dhamek morgue for autopsy." The identity of the slain woman was not found. The matter has been reported to Shahbagh police station.
