Jamalpur Correspondent: Some occupiers had illegally occupied government khas land in Hazrabari Bazar of Hazrabari municipal area of ​​Melandah upazila in Jamalpur for a long time and built shops.

The upazila administration evicted their illegal establishments. The day-long eviction drive started at 10 am on Wednesday (December 14). It is learned that with the connivance of some government officials, the occupiers have been occupying hundreds of shops and houses in the market for a long time. Besides, it is occupying land on both sides of the Jamalpur-Madarganj highway and building hundreds of shops. Due to this, there is always traffic jam in the market. Upazila Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Sirajul Islam led a day-long eviction drive from the morning. In this, more than two hundred illegal shops have been evicted by occupying government land in Hazrabari market and constructing shops and floating shops on the road.

Melandah Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Hazrabari Municipal Administrator Tamim Al Amin were present on the occasion. He said there would not be a single shop on government land. Our eviction drive will continue.
