The driver was killed when the truck overturned after losing control in Manikganj

Manikganj representative: A truck driver named Mosaddek Ali (30) was killed after losing control in Singair upazila of Manikganj. The incident took place at Nabi Irta village of Talebpur Union of the upazila on Wednesday (March 20) around 11:00 am. This fact was confirmed by the officer in charge (OC) of Singair police station Ziarul Islam.

The deceased Mosaddek is the son of Ubaidur Rahman of Daulatpur village of Pirganj upazila of Thakurgaon district. He is a truck driver by profession. According to the police and locals, the driver lost control of the truck when it left the soil on the road in Erta village. Later the driver and helper jumped from the truck.

The truck overturned in a roadside ditch and landed on top of the driver. The driver died on the spot. However, the helper is healthy in this incident. Singair police station officer in charge (OC) Ziarul Islam said that Mosaddek's dead body was recovered and kept in the district's 250-bed general hospital morgue. Legal action is pending in this regard.
