2 passengers of CNG died after being hit by a pickup in Nilphamari

Nilphamari Correspondent: Two passengers of a CNG-powered autorickshaw were killed after being hit by a pickup van in Nilphamari. Two more people were injured in this incident. They are being treated in hospital. The accident took place on Wednesday (March 20) around 8 o'clock in the morning at a place called Jodarga on the Nilphamari-Syedpur highway.

The deceased are Abu Taher (57) son of Riyaz Uddin of Bangalipur area of ​​Syedpur district and Nur Alam Siddiqui son of Asad Ali Pramanik of Khas Naogaon area of ​​Naogaon district. Abu Taher was an office assistant in Jaldhaka Fisheries Office and Noor Alam Siddiqui was working in Mercantile Bank Nilphamari branch. A

ccording to eyewitnesses and police sources, a CNG-powered autorickshaw with four passengers was heading towards Nilphamari from Syedpur city. Meanwhile, a pick-up going to Nilphamari hit from behind just as the CNGT arrived at Jordarga area of ​​Syedpur-Nilphamari highway. Two CNG passengers died on the spot. Two others were injured in this incident. Later, when the locals called 999, the members of the fire service arrived at the scene and sent the injured to the hospital.

Eyewitnesses said, after hearing a loud noise, I came out of the office and saw a CNG overturned and some passengers were lying on the road. One of them was dead while the other was alive for 5 minutes. And two people were injured. After calling 999, members of the fire service came and rescued them and sent them to the hospital.

Nilphamari Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Tanvirul Islam said that the bodies were recovered from the spot after receiving information. The injured are under treatment at the hospital. One of our policemen is also among the injured. The accident victim was taken to CNGT police station. Legal process is ongoing in this incident.
