Thakurgaon Representative: Load shedding is going on in Thakurgaon like the rest of the country. Hourly loadshedding is provided day and night. Due to this, old people and children are in trouble. People are suffering from extreme heat. Due to the reduction in power generation due to the energy crisis, load shedding has already been promoted by the Ministry of Energy. Power consumers are under pressure due to load shedding. On the other hand, the power office has expressed their helplessness as they are getting half the electricity compared to the demand. According to the information provided by Thakurgaon Grid Power Distribution, the total electricity demand in Thakurgaon is about 80 MW. Of this, the demand for rural electricity is about 60 million. And 20 May O. in the area covered by PDB (NESCO Ltd.). In response to a question as to why load shedding schedule is not being followed even after there is a pre-determined schedule, an officer in charge of controlling the grid said that the schedule is not in accordance with the actual situation. We are getting a little more than half of the demand, so how can we meet the schedule? We block the load as per LDC's advice. Two controls of Thakurgaon Nesco Ltd. a. DPS 33/11 KV substation in one of its road areas. From here power is supplied to three feeders. These three feeders are Road Bazar, Mathurapur, Collegepara. On the other hand, electricity is supplied to 5 feeders through Goalpara 33/11 KV substation. Total power demand of two substations of Nesco Ltd. on May 19. Since the commencement of load shedding, it has been noticed that load shedding schedule regulations published on the website of Nesco Ltd. are not being followed. Some feeders are loadshed up to 8/9 times in twenty four hours. Not one hour, some days 6 to 7 hours loadshedding is being done. In response to the question why the loadshed schedule is not being followed, the executive engineer of Nesco Ltd. Thakurgaon Mamunur Rashid said that our 20 May.O. 50-60 percent is getting against the electricity demand i.e. almost half. How can we give electricity to everyone at the same time by getting this half of the electricity? In response to the question whether there is a need for such a fabricated schedule or not, the executive engineer said that the schedule has no match with the reality, that is why it is not possible to accept it. Customers have no objection to accept load shedding during crisis. But customers can't accept the decision to impose abnormal load shedding on any feeder by creating a fake schedule. They requested the concerned authorities to immediately follow the load shedding schedule of Nesco Ltd.
