News Desk: Three people including a husband and wife were killed when a private car lost control and fell into a ditch in Comilla's Devidwar. The accident happened on Sunday (July 24) around 7:30 am in the Saharpar area of ​​the Dhaka-Chittagong highway.

The deceased are Gias Uddin Mahmud Farazi (52), his wife Jahanara Akhtar (48) and sister-in-law Salma Akhtar Najma (45), a resident of Banani Para area of ​​Feni Sadar Upazila.

Premdhan Majumdar, in-charge of Elliotganj Highway Police Outpost, said that the private car lost control in the Saharpar area and collided with a tree on the side of the road and fell into the ditch. Three people died on the spot. After receiving the information, the bodies of the deceased were recovered after reaching the spot. The car involved in the accident was also recovered and kept at the police station.

Premdhan Majumdar also said that the deceased Gias Uddin was driving the car from Dhaka to his home in Feni. His wife and sister-in-law were with him at that time.
