District Puja Celebration Parishad meeting in Bogra ahead of Janmashtami

Sanju Roy, Bogra: A meeting of Bangladesh Puja Udjakar Parishad district branch was held at Satmatha Sanatan Dharma Mandir in Bogra on Friday afternoon ahead of the Janmashtami festival of Lord Krishna on August 18. Sagar Kumar Roy, the president of the district branch of the organization, said that Shri Krishna's Janmashtami is one of the most important festivals for Sanatan Dharma followers. This day is celebrated every year with great festivity, although due to the Corona outbreak last year Janmashtami festival was celebrated on a limited scale across the country, including Bogra. But this time, in coordination with the administration in 12 upazilas of Bogra, all kinds of preparations will be made for the purpose of celebrating this festival in a lively manner so that all those belonging to Sanatan religion can celebrate this festival smoothly. The Janmashtami celebration committee was unanimously formed on behalf of the organization with central executive member Sukumar Saha as convenor and national sportsperson Gopal Tewari as member secretary to celebrate this year's Janmashtami in Bogra. In the meeting, in the upazilas where the conference is still left, a new committee was called to be formed through a quick conference. Also, a 1-minute silence was observed in the meeting to pray for the peace of the soul of Banker Atul Kumar Saha, Vice-President of the Municipal Puja Celebration Parishad, who passed away on Friday, and expressed condolences on behalf of the organization. In Friday's special meeting, the organization's central committee member and former president of the district branch, Dilip Kumar Dev, vice-president of the district branch, journalist Pradeep Bhattacharya Shankar, Chanchal Mohan Roy, Adv.
