Human chain and protest procession in Faridpur demanding arrest of Babu Mollah's killers

Ehsan Rana, Faridpur: Locals have staged a human chain and protest procession demanding arrest of those involved in the hacking to death of businessman Babu Mollah, son of freedom fighter Zillu Mollah of Char Chagaldi village in Shahidnagar union of Faridpur's Nagarkanda upazila. The program was held at Char Chagaldi area of ​​Nagarkanda-Saltha regional road on Tuesday afternoon. Speakers from the human chain demanded immediate arrest and trial of the killers of businessman Babu Mollah. A protest procession was held at the end of the human chain. People from all walks of life were present at the human chain and demonstrations. It may be mentioned that last (May 30) Babu Mollah, a hardware trader of Nagarkanda Bazar was hacked to death and 32 iron nails were inserted in his body. Tania Akhtari, wife of the deceased, filed a murder case with Nagarkanda Police Station accusing Md. Al Amin Mia, Md. Zakir Mollah, Amir Mollah, Shamim Mollah, Md. Hiru Mollah, Afzal Mollah, Haider Mollah and 4/5 others. Police arrested a man named Haider Mollah in the case but the rest are out of reach.
