Cannabis cultivation on the roof of the house in Daganbhuiyan, Feni!

News Desk: Police have arrested a farmer in Daganbhuiyan of Feni along with 190 cannabis plants planted in a tub on the roof of his house. The farmer named Jafar Imam was arrested from Rajapur Union of the Upazila on Sunday (March 14).

Police and locals said that Zafar Imam, son of Abdul Mannan, was cultivating banned cannabis on the roof of his house in Sundarpur village of Rajapur Union a few days ago. Knowing the matter aroused curiosity among the locals. At one stage the matter became known.

Later, the police arrested Zafar Imam along with cannabis plants. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Daganbhuiyan Police Station Imtiaz Ahmed confirmed the matter.

He said they raided the house of Abdul Karim Miah in the village on the basis of the allegations. At that time, cannabis farmer Zafar Imam was arrested and 190 saplings of cannabis planted on the roof of his house were recovered.
