News Desk: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal has said that violence in elections is not acceptable. The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) said this in his address to the nation on Saturday (January 6) on the occasion of the 12th National Assembly elections.
Kazi Habibul Awal said, 28 political parties, a total of 1931 candidates are participating in the 12th National Assembly elections. Elections cannot be termed as uncontested and non-participatory.
CEC said that the EC is trying its best to conduct fair, acceptable and impartial elections. Strict action will be taken if electoral duty is neglected. He urged the voters to come to the polling station and exercise their right to vote.
