We don\'t want any conflict in elections: Sheikh Hasina

News Desk:  The Awami League government has been able to bring political stability due to being in power for a long time - said party president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Addressing the countrymen, Sheikh Hasina said that she does not want any conflict in the elections. Vote for whoever you want. The vote is very important. A peaceful atmosphere should be maintained during the polls. BNP started looting and corruption when it came to power. BNP's corruption should be answered through voting. 

Addressing the countrymen, he further said, we all have to remember that this election is extremely important for Bangladesh. Because, many people want to play many games about Bangladesh. We have to take care that no one can play tricks with the destiny of this country. We have to make that effort so that the next national election becomes a milestone in history.

He said these things while participating virtually in the election rally of five districts and one upazila from Dhaka district Awami League building in Tejgaon of the capital on Wednesday afternoon. 

Awami League president said, we want a truly free and fair election in the country. And BNP wants a rigged election. Khaleda Zia wanted to stay in power by stealing people's votes. could not stay People do not accept stealing votes. Khaleda Zia fell through the movement. The election was held on February 15, 1996. Then he was forced to resign. But they were not educated. So again in 2001 vote rigging, vote stealing, people's fate started playing. Due to their misrule, the country was under emergency.

He said, when I did not agree to sell gas in the 2001 elections, I was a victim of conspiracy. Power could not come. The BNP-Jamaat alliance came to power with a guarantee to sell gas. As soon as they came to power, they started corruption, looting, militancy, bomb attacks, grenade attacks and irrevocable torture of Awami League leaders and workers. Their corruption went to such a level that they opened the Prime Minister's Office and Tarek Hawa Bhavan on the other side and built an arena for corruption. Business interferes everywhere. As a result of which extreme anarchy is created in the country. They knew people would not vote for them, they would reject them, so they created 1 crore 23 lakh fake voter lists. It takes effort to choose that way. There they failed.

Sheikh Hasina said that BNP got 30 seats out of 300 seats in 2008 elections. Awami League won 233 seats. And other seats went to our alliance partners.

He said, we are able to take the country forward as we have been in power for a long time. I appeal to the people of the country, you should vote for the boat brand and help us to move the country forward. We have been in power for a long time and have been able to bring back a stable environment in the country. The socio-economic condition of this country is improving. The countrymen are also benefiting from it.

Sheikh Hasina said that the Awami League came to power after being elected by the people's vote. Development of infrastructure sector including roads, bridges and culverts, electricity and education have been developed. We have enriched Bangladesh with modern knowledge and science. We have also managed to reduce the unemployment rate to three percent. We have been able to create massive employment in the country.
