News Desk: The United States is part of an international initiative to ensure the delivery of the Covid-19 vaccine and treatment to countries around the world.

President Biden instructed the U.S. government on January 21 to join the Covid-19 vaccine access (Covax) facility. The international initiative aims to ensure the fair and equitable distribution of the Covid-19 vaccine worldwide and the distribution of 2 billion doses by 2021.

Biden's chief medical adviser. "The United States plans to work multilaterally to address the Covid-19 epidemic and conduct recovery efforts," said Anthony Fouchi. He also announced that the United States would rejoin the World Health Organization and participate in global vaccine distribution efforts supported by the World Health Organization.

The United States will now work to deliver the Covid-19 vaccine and treatment worldwide through international initiatives, including:

  • Covid-19 Tools (ACT) Accelerator: A global effort to tackle Covid-19 with diagnostics, treatment and vaccine facilities.
  • Covax: (mentioned) Initiative to effectively distribute Covid-19 vaccine worldwide through ACT vaccine activities.
  • The Cow, The Vaccine Alliance (Vaccine Alliance): Launched in 2000, the Cow is a global partnership that vaccines nearly half of the world's children against the deadly disease and is helping the Kovacs to fight Covid-19.

Through CoVAX, countries are mobilizing resources to support vaccine production and distribution activities. The joint venture between the World Health Organization, the Cow and the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovation will also ensure that vaccines are available in developing countries.

The United States is a longtime partner and supporter of cow and other global vaccine campaigns, such as the Global Polio Eradication Initiative. Over the past 20 years, US agencies and the US private sector have invested billions of dollars in the fight against measles, rubella, yellow fever, diphtheria and polio.

The United States Department of State, the United States Agency for International Development, and the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have announced billions of dollars in aid to governments and international groups around the world.

In December, the US government approved ৪ 4 billion in assistance to Gavi's activities to ensure the safe and effective delivery of the Covid-19 vaccine. "This support from the American people will help Gavi collect doses of the Covid-19 vaccine and deliver Gavi Covac AMC to low-income economies (countries)," said Gavi's CEO.

Seth Berkeley said in December: "This will reduce the crisis, save lives and help revitalize the global economy." In today's interconnected world, no one is safe unless everyone is safe. ”
