News Desk: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has sharply criticized the United States for killing 13 Turkish citizens at the hands of the separatist Kurdish guerrilla group PKK in northern Iraq. At the same time, the US ambassador to Ankara has been summoned to the Turkish Foreign Ministry.

The news is from Yeni Safak. The US ambassador has been summoned to protest Washington's policy on the killings of the 13 people. Most of those killed by the PKK were members of the Turkish army or police. Turkey says 13 Turkish nationals abducted by PKK guerrillas were killed after Turkish troops approached them in northern Iraq. PKK rebels shot 12 of them in the head and one in the shoulder.

But the PKK claims that 13 people were killed in a Turkish airstrike on their base in northern Iraq. The State Department said in a statement on Sunday that it "strongly condemns" the killing of Turkish nationals at the hands of PKK. Erdogan said the "conditional" condemnation of the United States was nothing more than a mockery.

He added that the US government was supporting terrorist groups such as the PKK and YPG instead of taking action against them. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has warned the United States that his country's military will continue its crackdown on Kurdish separatist groups inside Iraq.
