News Desk: India's Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah has said that if the BJP comes to power in West Bengal, no one will be able to stay away from the border and not a single bird will be able to enter. He made the demand at two public meetings in Kochbihar and Thakurnagar ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal, India, on Thursday (February 11th), according to a BBC report.

Amit Shah threw a question in the meeting and said, tell me if you are upset about the intrusion? And will Mamata Banerjee be able to stop the intrusion at all? "Know that the infiltration will stop only if there is a change of power in the state," he said. When the BJP government is in power, people stay away from the border, not a single bird will be able to enter. In a written reply to the West Bengal Parliament from the Home Ministry the day before Amit Shah spoke at the meeting, it was informed that the incidence of infiltration from Bangladesh to India has come down drastically in the next five years from 2016.

In response to Amit Shah's statement, Trinamool MP Mansaranjan Bhuiyan told the media that his statement was purely politically motivated. He said, "It is the responsibility of the central government of West Bengal to erect a fence at the international border. The work of erecting that fence remains incomplete." Moreover, it is the responsibility of the BSF, which is a central government force, to prevent or monitor those who enter India illegally from outside the country.

So how can they blame Mamata Banerjee's government for infiltrating? ' Manas Ranjan Bhuiyan said, "The central government has said that infiltration from Bangladesh has decreased, but even then it means nothing." "Keep in mind that Mamata Banerjee and her government are aware of everything and she never helps, doesn't give, doesn't give in to infiltration," he added.
