4 members of the same family injured and 1 killed in Ramgarh road accident

Ramgarh (Khagrachhari) Correspondent: Four members of the same family were seriously injured and one was killed in a collision between a truck and a CNG-powered autorickshaw at Darogapara area of ​​Ramgarh in Khagrachhari. A man named Maulana Kazi Shamsuddin was killed in the accident. Kazi Shamsuddin was a teacher of Ramgarh Nurani Madrasa and Imam of Gardpara Jame Mosque.

The accident took place in the Darogapara area of ​​Ramgarh Municipality on Khagrachhari-Feni Regional Road on Sunday evening. Four more people injured in the accident have been sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital in critical condition. The injured were identified as Mohammad Shafiqul Islam, 18, CNG driver Mohammad Abdur Razzak, 18, Nurul Amin, 55, and Razia Khatun, 20, daughter of Nurul Amin. According to the relatives of the deceased, the people who were killed and injured in the accident were returning home from Nakapa after attending a family meeting.

On the way home, the CNG autorickshaw collided head-on with another truck (Jessore-T-11-22-05) coming from the opposite direction while overtaking another CNG auto rickshaw. Five people, including a CNG driver, were seriously injured in the clash. Locals rescued the injured and took them to Ramgarh Hospital. The on-duty doctors sent them to Chittagong Medical College Hospital with first aid.

Maulana Kazi Shamsuddin, who was killed in the accident, was rushed to Feni Al Kemi Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at 10:45 pm. Ramgarh Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Shamsuzzaman said the truck and the CNG autorickshaw involved in the accident were seized. Legal action will be taken in this regard.
