Husband sentenced to death for killing wife in Narail

News Desk: A court has sentenced a man to death for killing his wife in Narail. At the same time, the court sentenced him to one year rigorous imprisonment for non-payment of a fine of Tk 50,000.

Thursday (February 18) morning Narail District and Sessions Judge Munshi. Moshiar Rahman gave the order.

The convicted person is Md. Forkan Uddin alias Shakil Khan. According to the case sources, Morzina alias Bithi was brutally hacked to death by her husband Shakil Khan with a sharp weapon in the middle of the night on October 11, 2015 due to a family quarrel while living in a rented house in Gopinathpur area of ​​Lohagarh Municipality, Narail.

The victim's father filed a case against his son-in-law Shakil at Lohagarh police station on October 13. The court ruled in the presence of the accused as the allegations against the accused were proved beyond doubt after a total of 16 witnesses testified in the lengthy judicial process of the case.
