Schoolgirl abducted in Manikganj for not agreeing to love proposal, rescued after 17 days

Shibalaya police have finally rescued a 17-year-old 10th class schoolgirl from Shibalaya in Manikganj after 17 days of abduction.

The victim was rescued from Malek Khan's rented house in Dhaka's Ashulia Khan Colony on Tuesday (February 9th). Rakib Hossain, 25, and his accomplice, 23-year-old Md. Ronnie has been arrested by the police. The abductors are residents of Kewarjani area of ​​Manikganj Sadar upazila and mechanics of Barangail Bajaj motorcycle showroom.

According to the police, the girl was studying in 10th class of Barangail Gopal Chandra High School in Shibalaya upazila. He used to study privately next to the Bajaj showroom near the school. Rakib offers him love when he comes to study. Rakib used to show him various fears at different times as he did not agree to the proposal. Finally, on the morning of the 24th of last month, Rakib was abducted by five people including his accomplices Ronnie, Babu, Russell and Sohail in a high-speed microbus and fled to an unknown place. Victim's father later filed a kidnapping case with Shibalaya police station.

Shibalaya police officer in-charge Firoz Kabir said the victim's father had filed a kidnapping case with the police station. Taking the matter seriously, a team of police led by my police investigation OC Ashish Kumar Sanyal conducted a raid in Mirkadim area of ​​Munshiganj's Sadar area and arrested the co-accused Rony. According to his information, the victim was later rescued from Ashulia in Dhaka and the abductor Rakib was arrested.
