The mild cold wave in the north will continue for another three to four days

News Desk: Mild to moderate cold wave is prevailing in different parts of the northern part of the country. The situation could continue for another three to four days, the Meteorological Department said. The 24-hour weather forecast from 9 a.m. on Sunday said the weather across the country could remain dry. From midnight to morning, moderate to heavy fog may fall in some parts of the river basin of the country and light to moderate fog elsewhere in the country.

Night and day temperatures across the country may remain almost unchanged. However, mild to moderate cold wave is prevailing over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Jessore, Gopalganj, Ishwardi, Badalgachhi, Chuadanga, Kumarkhali and Srimangal areas and it may continue. Rajshahi recorded the lowest temperature in the country at 6.7 degrees Celsius on Sunday. The minimum temperature in Dhaka was 15.9 degrees Celsius.

Meteorologist Abdur Rahman said that such a continuous cold wave is somewhere in the north in late December. The freezing wind and fog in the north are no exception. He said the temperature is rising in different parts of the country. However, the mild to moderate cold wave over Rangpur Division, Gopalganj, Rajshahi, Ishwardi, Badalgachhi, Jessore, Chuadanga, Kumarkhali and Srimangal areas may continue for a few more days.
